This Privacy Policy explains what information we, Karatsoft Teknoloji Limited Şirketi (“Karatsoft”), collect when you visit the karatsoft.com website and use the forms on the site, how we use this information and how we protect it. The legal details regarding the processing of your personal data are set out in the Data Protection Notice, and the details regarding cookies in the Cookie Policy.

1. Scope

This policy applies to all pages under the karatsoft.com domain name. Our products (such as the NetKurum, Funikid and Mobilverse applications) have their own websites and applications, which are subject to their own privacy policies. For software that we develop and operate on behalf of our corporate customers, the data processing terms are set out in the contract concluded with the relevant customer.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Contact and quote forms: your full name, e-mail address, phone number, your message and the page to which your request relates.
  • Job application form: your personal and contact details, your education and experience details, your CV and the files you attach.
  • Blog comments: your full name, e-mail address and comment. Your e-mail address is not published; your comment is published under your name once it has been approved.
  • E-mail, phone and WhatsApp: the information you share when you write to us directly or call us.

Information collected automatically

  • Server logs: IP address, page visited, date and time, browser and operating system information. These logs are kept for security and troubleshooting purposes.
  • Form security: to block automated submissions and spam, rate-limiting records based on submission time and IP address are kept for a short period. We do not use CAPTCHA on our website.
  • Cookies and browser storage: essential cookies and, only in the categories you have consented to, preference and external content cookies.

3. How do we use the information?

  • To respond to your request and to carry out quote, demo and initial meeting processes;
  • To assess job applications;
  • To moderate and publish blog comments;
  • To keep the site secure, fast and accessible, and to fix errors;
  • To fulfil our legal obligations.

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it to send marketing communications without your consent. No automated decision-making or profiling is carried out on the basis of your use of the site.

4. Sharing of information

Your information is shared only for the purposes above and to the extent necessary, with: netKonsol, our own platform in which we record form submissions; the infrastructure providers from whom we obtain hosting and content delivery network services; and, where required by law, the competent authorities. When you use the relevant service, the Google Maps and WhatsApp links on the site are subject to the privacy policies of those companies.

5. Protection of information

Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and our information security management system to ISO/IEC 27001:2022. The main measures we apply on the site are:

  • All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS (TLS) and HSTS is applied;
  • A Content Security Policy (CSP) prevents unauthorised scripts from running;
  • Forms are validated on the server side and protected by a security token, a hidden honeypot field, a minimum completion time and a submission limit;
  • Access to personal data is restricted, through role-based authorisation, to only those employees who need it to perform their duties.

No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure; however, we take the necessary technical and administrative measures to protect your information.

6. Retention period

We retain your information only for as long as the purpose for which it was collected requires and for the periods prescribed by the relevant legislation. Retention periods by type of data are set out in the Data Protection Notice.

7. Your rights

If you are visiting from Türkiye, you have the rights listed in Article 11 of Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”). If you are visiting from the European Economic Area, under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access your data, to request its rectification or erasure, to request restriction of processing, to data portability, to object and to withdraw the consent you have given at any time; you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in the country where you are located. 8. Children's privacy

Our website is intended for corporate visitors; we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that such data has been submitted, we delete it.

Our website contains links to our product websites, app stores and our social media accounts. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these sites; we recommend that you review their own policies when you visit them.
